About

A skeleton is so much more than just a heap of bones! Each skeleton is unique and its story ties in with our own.
These are the stories of eight whale skeletons, the carcasses of which were found on the banks of the St. Lawrence. Through its story, each whale gives us the chance to explore an aspect of its anatomy and physiology. We conclude each story with an issue that threatens whales, but also with the solutions that exist to address this issue.

If we better understand whales, we can better protect them!

The virtual exhibition “Bones with Stories to Tell” was produced by the Group for Research and Education on Marine Mammals (GREMM) in collaboration with CREO.

GREMM is a non-profit organization dedicated to scientific research on marine mammals as well as public education on issues pertaining to marine ecosystems and their conservation.

CREO is a digital productions studio that helps its clients inform, captivate and engage their audiences by creating tailored, memorable discovery experiences that inspire learning.
